016 consists of twelve concrete rings. Each have twenty-four embedded LEDs that allow interactivity with the viewer, admitting state changes via an analog-digital microcontroller
[Arduino] and a web interface supported by PHP and Processing.
Despite being a piece held in collaboration with Juan Pablo Montoya, Marsilio Kunst, CarlosGarza, Emilio Avila, Uriel Nájera and Hugo Ramirez, the technical and conceptual impressions expressed here are entirely personal.

Beyond to find a conceptual discourse in 016, the workgroup decided to give a functional sense to the piece.
In order to be presented to a digital art festival, is sought to emphasize the interactivity of the work.
It is proposed induce the viewer to a consciousness cycle in the perception of the work as a bridge between the physical and virtual world.
In an ideal position, the viewer becomes user. This condition allows to influence at the plasticity of the piece, which changes depending on the choices that user / viewer takes in a given time.
In a practical sense, at the beginning, the twelve concrete rings remains at 'rest' projecting a random pattern of light.
A viewer choses a lighting pattern from a website that serves as interaction interface. When one of those patterns is selected, a digital-analog conversion microcontroller interprets and implements the information that the user selected through small voltage changes. As output we get a pattern of light in the concrete rings.
